Gladden Community House President & CEO Joe Gottron informed the GCH Board of Directors that he will be departing at the end of August to spend more time with his family. Although his tenure at Gladden will only last 16 months, it has been highly impactful.

"It has been a privilege to lead Gladden. Our mission, programs, and services are not only essential in Franklinton and across Franklin County; in many cases, they are life-changing. I will most definitely miss the smiles and hugs from the kids."

Joe Gottron

Jeff Blendick, our Gladden Board Chair, has this to say. Joe has worked tirelessly as a Gladden ambassador to expand the visibility of its programs, services, and positive reputation across the Central Ohio community and beyond. He has spearheaded new foundation program grants, secured numerous new sponsors and donors, and organized successful fundraising events. Joe also dedicated considerable time and effort to obtaining capital grants and in-kind donations to make beautiful improvements to the Gladden facility. The board is immensely grateful for Joe's leadership and accomplishments and wishes him much enjoyment and happiness as he devotes more time to his family.

The board has named Matt Bruns, Gladden's Chief Advancement Officer, as Interim President & CEO upon Joe's departure. Ron Wuerth, a member of the Gladden Board of Directors, will also assist with the transition on a part-time consulting basis.

Thanks, Joe. We wish you the very best!
